The CSW role is very much what you make of it. The role will be challenging at times but also incredibly rewarding. Many of our nurses and clinical leaders began their NHS careers as CSWs and were supported by the Trust to progress.

If you are a committed and compassionate person who gets a buzz from helping others, and you're interested in starting a career within the NHS, our Clinical Support Worker (CSW) role could be the perfect fit for you., You will be working with adults with learning disabilities as part of an enthusiastic and supportive team. Admissions are short term for people with learning disabilities and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and or therapy within an inpatient unit.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with both colleagues and patients.

With the care you give, you'll be making a difference to patients with a learning disability and complex needs to their families everyday.

You'll have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with those around you, be hardworking and enjoy a challenge. You'll have training for all aspects of the role, so you may learn some new skills.

As the ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the 11.5 hour shifts will include both days, nights and weekends (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00)
