Full Job Description

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are looking for a Clinical Support Worker for Play at our Birmingham Hospice to have responsibility for planning and delivering play and activities for children and young people attending the hospice., As a Clinical Support Worker for Play, youll

  • Assist nurses in assessing the care needs of the children
  • Liaise with the Matron to plan and deliver appropriate activities for children and adolescents of varying ages and abilities
  • Develop, plan and evaluate play programs, activities and events
  • Create opportunities within the hospice that support the education, learning and development needs of the children and young people
  • Co-ordinate effective use of resources including gardens and sensory rooms
