Full Job Description

Are you passionate about rehabilitation and helping patients to achieve their potential and improve their quality of life? If so, this could be the opportunity for you!, You will need to be able to work on your own and as part of a team and be involved with patients with a range of medical, social and functional problems.

Support and in-service training will be provided to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of the role for older persons medicine and stroke by undertaking set competencies . There are supervision structures in place to provide support and ensure that you continue to deliver the best possible service to the patients in our care and develop in your role as a therapy assistant.

Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, enthusiasm, commitment and ability to work with a wide range of agencies are also vital in this post.

The main role is to provide rehab to the patients under the older persons medicine consultants by following the treatment plans set by the Physio and OT, however you would also be expected to provide cover during the week and weekends for the stroke patients too where required.

Flexibility to work across 7 days is essential.

Successful candidate must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.

You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
