We have an opportunity for Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to join our friendly Ophthalmology Outpatient Team
You will work with a team of doctors, nurses, specialist teams and other Healthcare Support Workers to care for Ophthalmology patients., The Band 3 Clinical Support Worker will undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction but not direct supervision of the registered staff and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
As a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker (CSW) you make a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of high quality healthcare, supporting the registered professional in the delivery of safe, effective, compassionate patient care. This job description is to be read in conjunction with the person specification for this particular job.
It is essential that you are able to work well as a member of a multidisciplinary team and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
You will gain the opportunity to learn and develop Band 3 skills on a daily basis to assist the team in providing excellent patient care.
The unit is open Monday-Friday including some evenings.
A working knowledge of Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.
