Full Job Description

To assist the registered nurses in the organisation of nursing activities and in the smooth running on the ward. To participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team supporting and promoting the continuity of patient care.

A Clinical Support Worker is required to assist patient's with personal hygiene, urinary care, nutrition and take clinical measurements, such as blood pressure and observations. All information must be accurately documented on Trust systems, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

You will be joining an enthusiastic, supportive, and friendly Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will receive support and development through in-service training, regular appraisals, a personal development plan and clinical supervision.

This post involves internal rotation between day and night duties, full and part time posts are available.

Working as a member of an MDT, you will provide specialist palliative care for adults with life limiting illness and support to their families. There will be information about current job openings, including roles such as Clinical Support Worker and Nursing Associate, as well as the scope of work available across both clinical and supportive functions. The tour will showcase the facility's features, including a modern day unit, counselling and therapy rooms, and an on-site gym., PBL has a 24 bedded in-patient unit, which has a combination of 16 consultant-led specialist palliative care beds and 8 nurse-led Continuing Health Care Fast Track beds. PBL's Specialist patients have complex needs that require input from our specialist multidisciplinary team. Patient's may require assessment and symptom control, treatment for acute reversible causes, psychological support or end of life care. Those patient's on the continuing health care pathway are likely to come to us for end of life care in the last days of life.
