Full Job Description

As part of a multidisciplinary mobilisation team and under the direction of the Clinical Systems Workstream Lead, the Clinical Systems Migration Specialist is responsible for the safe and high-quality transfer of patient records to strict time constraints. With patient safety at the heart of decision making, the postholder will work autonomously alongside the relevant Clinical Systems Workstream Lead and data management teams to ensure a smooth and safe transfer of patient records from multiple organisations and systems.,

  • Work with incumbent providers and the IG workstream to agree the transferring data cohorts, timings and method of data transfer, and the responsibilities regarding data mapping and data transformation
  • Assist IG workstream to complete the Data Transfer Agreements.
  • Set-up and Chair data migration meetings as directed by the transformation lead, with incumbent provider, analytics, data management representation, as required tracking actions.
  • Liaise with suppliers on data migration activities, ensuring delivery of agreed outputs to time and quality standards.
  • Implement a robust testing plan, ensuring that migrated data is fully tested and signed off by operational representatives.
  • Using industry standard tools and templates, maintain detailed plans, risk, issue, and decision logs, feeding into the Transformation Leads Project documentation as necessary.
  • Manage issues and risks relating to the data migration service line ensuring that mitigations are in place and escalating risks outside of tolerance to the Transformation Lead, tracking issues through to resolution
  • Under the guidance of the Clinical Systems Workstream Lead, ensure a robust governance structure is in place for all decision making including appropriate sign off as necessary by clinical safety, quality, analytics, performance, and operations as required.
  • Deputise as necessary for the Clinical Systems Workstream Lead, representing Clinical Systems at mobilisation meetings, events, and outputs as directed by mobilisation leads.
  • Assist with the delivery of safe transfer of services in other ways within the post-holders skillset as directed by the Clinical Systems Workstream Lead.

    The postholder must be an experienced data manager and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. Experience of large-scale clinical system deployments is essential., Essential
  • Significant experience in Data migration, transformation and Data Management
  • A good understanding of information governance and record keeping principles, relating to health and special category data.
  • Project Management knowledge, multiple methodologies
  • Desirable
