Full Job Description

This post would suit individuals who aim to pursue a career in Medicine with a specialist interest in Medical Education, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful candidate will be involved in coordinating and delivering the Trust's undergraduate clinical teaching programme (five sessions per week per annual average) and will undertake five sessions of clinical duties and professional development.

Applications are invited from registered Medical Practitioners for the above post based within the Department of Medical & Dental Education, as well as the Division of Emergency & Medicine. The Trust provides undergraduate medical and surgical clinical teaching to medical students from the University of Leicester, School Of Medicine and the University Of Cambridge School, Clinical Medicine - from year 3 ward based apprenticeships to year 5 clinical assistantships, and including year 4 specialty blocks. Teaching is provided in a variety of clinical settings and the post holders will be expected to spend approximately five sessions per week teaching undergraduate medical students from Leicester Medical School. The post holder will be expected to participate in student induction sessions and assessment sessions. It is expected that annual leave will be taken when students are not on placement to the Trust.
