Full Job Description
This post would suit an individual who aims to pursue a career in Surgery with a specialist interest in Medical Education, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful candidate will be involved in coordinating and delivering the Trust's undergraduate clinical teaching programme (five sessions per week per annual average) and will undertake five sessions of clinical duties and professional development. The main educational duties will be delivering structured clinical teaching sessions, including bedside teaching, seminars, and teaching clinics, as well as running formative assessments including objective structured clinical exams (OSCEs). The post-holder will also develop and deliver simulation sessions alongside the clinical teaching fellow in medicine. The main clinical duties will be to support the departments within the division of Surgery. Specialist clinics and skills training can be arranged according to career interest.
