Are you an experienced, qualified mental health nurse looking for an exciting new challenge to develop your existing skills? Would you be interested in working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment? We are currently looking for a full time enthusiastic Clinical Team Lead to join our fantastic team. As a Clinical Lead in our Older People's Mental Health Service, you will need to be motivated, forward thinking and have a compassionate approach. You'll need to have substantial post qualifying experience and a developed understanding of the Mental Health Framework and Dementia Pathways. With Strong leadership and mentoring skills, you will provide clinical support and direction to the OPMH Service and will ensure that high clinical standards are maintained based on evidence-based practice and in line with NICE guidelines.You will have specialist knowledge of the care of Older people with mental health conditions and an understanding of the challenges that older adults face and how this impacts on their well-being. You will hold a small caseload of complex cases and lead by example demonstrating exemplary clinical and management standards. The role is based at Nicholson House, Maidenhead and you will aid the day-to-day operational running of the service and be expected to be self-governing and autonomous in decision making.,

  • You will be part of the senior operational management team within the OPMH Service in Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM) and will take a lead role in supporting the Service Manager in delivering high quality services for older adults with severe and enduring mental illness. They will help provide leadership and direction in developing the capabilities of the team, with a focus on maintaining performance within the team across all areas of performance monitoring.
  • You will be responsible for the analysis of performance data on a regular basis, looking at improvements within the service's capacity/demand and with the Service Manager and the team leads implement and support action plans to meet the requirements of the service to provide effective and person-centred services.
  • You will act as a training resource within the service and work with colleagues in the team to provide performance related training and support timely management of performance activity.
  • You will also take the lead in the successful implementation of all future technological and information projects within the service to support effective service delivery and plan and implement new ways of working to improve service and Trust performance.
  • You will undertake audit activity within the CMHTe as directed by the management and leadership team and formulate action plans where gaps in quality are identified.
  • You will also have responsibility for clinical case work as needed, to support the team's needs.
