Full Job Description

Leading a county wide service to provide vaccinations and ensure a joined-up communicable disease prevention, treatment and vaccination offer in line with the National Vaccination Strategy. Vaccination activities and services will be holistic and offer vaccinations for the whole family where appropriate., A senior lead role responsible and accountable for the clinicalleadership of the whole vaccination process, trained and competent inall aspects of vaccination, immunisations, communicable disease response and care.Responsible for clinical oversight of the following:Coordination and oversight of the full portfolio of Communicable Disease Response Team services working closely with TB services and the School-Aged Immunisation Service.

Provision of adequate leadership and support to all staff and citizens.Clinical escalations from clinical supervisors, clinical assessors andvaccination staff.Clinical review of patient safety conditions and identification of potentialclinical risks and concerns.Ensuring the effective delivery of care including undertaking specialistprocedures, providing specialist advice, structured education andongoing support to the site staff and the patients.To act as a credible clinician in order to advise and guide staff inrespect of all aspects of clinical deliveryA strong clinical leader, easily identifiable, highly visible and accessibleto patients, carers and staff.To support the developments of Clinical Governance and ServiceImprovement, to modernise patient services and ensure the activeinvolvement of patients and carers in the way services are developed,delivered and evaluated.Leading by example the post holder will influence, lead, support andmotivate colleagues., LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives.
