Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team at Rosedale Court, a 22-bed mixed open Rehabilitation unit located at 75-79 Greenford Road, Harrow, HA1 3QF. Our teams use a multidisciplinary approach to care, providing a range of nursing, medical, therapies and psychological input.
We are looking for applicants who are able to work creatively and effectively in a busy and demanding role. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate progressive skills in leadership, supervision, clinical practice, service development, risk assessment and care management. You must be committed to the trust values of compassion, respect, empowerment and partnership. The applicant should have a clear understanding of the importance of rehabilitation and interested in working with patients with severe and enduring mental health problems to develop their life skills, improve their independence and support them during their journey to recovery. You should have good communication skills and committed to providing person centred care with a sound knowledge of best practice. Band 6 nurses are expected to be compassionate, responsive and approachable but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the service provided to the people in our care:
+ Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments;
+ Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures;
+ Empowering people through working in partnership throughout their care and treatment in the service.
+ Supporting the development of junior staff and improved care delivery through effective supervision and the use of reflective practice
We believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working together and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care. Band 6 nurses work as part of a team and you will contribute to the success of the team by drawing support from more experienced nurses and other health professionals but also by supervising other staff and students' nurses to ensure they are working to the standards which the people using our services deserve.

· We are the largest provider of NHS in-patient mental health rehabilitation beds in the country;
· We provide a service for people who have complex needs as a result of a severe and enduring mental illness which is psychotic in nature;
· We provide a core service across Brent, Harrow, Hillington, Kensington & Chelsea as well as Westminster;
· In addition, we provide cost per case beds across a number of other boroughs and counties;
· A number of our services are AIMS accredited;
