Full Job Description

The post is located within the Camden & Islington Personality Disorder Service (PDS). This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, experienced mental health clinician/manager. You will be expected to work closely with your senior peers at PDS in delivering excellent care to our client group, and supporting the wider system.
The service is made up of a Community Team, Liaison Team, and a Therapies Team. Each team within the service is a multi-professional service including psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, social workers and advanced lived experience practitioner. The PDS prioritises the team approach to working with this client group and the community team manager will be an integral part of both the therapies team and the wider PDS leadership team.

This is a full-time role, however we are willing to consider part-time candidates on a job-share basis., We are looking for an experienced clinician & manager, with a proven track record in working with clients who have difficulties which could be understood as "personality disorder".
The post holder will provide effective clinical leadership and management within the Community Team, including the provision of clinical supervision and line management. The community team within the PDS offers: psychological case management, adapted from structured clinical management (SCM); fulfils delegated social care responsibilities, and provides Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) as a cross-service therapeutic offer.
The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing development, monitoring and evaluation of the community team provision and ensuring best use is made of health and social are resources.
The post holder will oversee the whole caseload of the team on a day-to-day operational basis, alongside the Service Manager. They will support the formulation of highly specialist care and treatment plans which provide highly skilled professional and specialist interventions/care to service users with complex mental health problems in line with best practice and service objectives. They will also be expected to hold a small, complex caseload.
