Applications are invited for two Clinical Trial Programmers to join the Programmer and Systems Management team in the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit (PCCTU), a world-leading centre for primary care research, that conducts high-quality clinical trials to improve patient and community health.
Working under the direction of the Clinical Trials Senior Software Development Manager and the Head of Operations, the successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the PCCTU's in-house databases and systems, as well as developing, building, and validating software systems required by the Unit. You will have a high standard of oral and written English, excellent communication skills, and a track record as a committed team player. You must have experience of object-oriented programming languages (especially PHP), understanding of back-end web application and API development, including using frameworks (Laravel), understanding of server (Linux), web server (Apache/Tomcat/Nginx) and database (SQL and NoSQL) administration, and understanding of DevOps, especially CI/CD (Jenkins), containers (Docker/Podman), and version control (Git/Github).
