An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the MFT Research and Innovation Team. We are pleased to offer a non-clinical B3 to B4 developmental role within the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. You will be working within the Cardiology Research team . In this role your main area of focus will be to help support and deliver the studies in the Cardiology Research specialty including Cardiac surgery and Transplant. The role will be based at Manchester Royal Infirmary with occasional working at North Manchester General Hospital.

This role is a developmental post, starting at B3 level - Clinical Trials Assistant - with progression to B4 Clinical Trials Administrator (CTA), upon meeting competencies outlined in the B4 CTA job description at a 6-month review.

The successful applicant will work closely with a dedicated mentor who will provide robust training to enable them to meet the above competencies within the outlined timeframe.

This post is ideal for anyone who would like to develop and enhance their skills and progress with their research career., You will have good communications skills, a team orientated approach and the ability to plan and undertake work in an accurate, methodical, and efficient manner. A good eye for detail is essential, as are strong administrative and IT skills. An understanding of the Clinical Trial process, clinical practice, Research Governance, and a familiarity with medical terminology would be advantageous.

You will support our dynamic research team and get involved in many aspects of our Research studies. You will actively contribute to the performance and delivery of the team by ensuring you provide administrative support in a proactive, timely and efficient manner. You will help us to maintain our status as one of the leading Trusts in the UK and have the chance to work with a team with extensive Research experience.
