Full Job Description

We have an active and growing paediatric research unit based within a new, dedicated and purpose-built Children's Clinical Research Facility (CCRF), which opened in 2018. We employ over 18 research nurses and clinical research practitioners with a portfolio of over 20 research studies currently in the delivery stage. Over recent years, the department has seen a significant expansion of clinical research.,

  • The data administrator's role requires a motivated individual with a background in clinical and research administration in a ward or outpatient setting.
  • The post holder is required to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and external stakeholders to facilitate a highly responsive service.
  • They must also have a knowledge and understanding of both clinical and research protocols to ensure subjects' details are entered into the database and clinical report forms in a timely fashion.
  • The post is important in the enhancement of the Children's Clinical Research Facility, promoting its position as a centre of excellence in the delivery of clinical research in a diverse number of therapeutic settings.

    As a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join our Trust as a Clinical Trials Data Administrator, to join our CCRF at St Mary's Hospital. The post will be funded for 12 months in the first instance. The successful applicant will join a first class team delivering ongoing and ground-breaking paediatric research studies.
  • The post holder will be required to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and external stakeholders to facilitate a highly responsive service. The ability to work independently and follow the policies and procedures of the department is essential. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, and reliability and must have an organised approach to work. This position provides the opportunity to work within a very supportive and welcoming team, providing opportunity to further develop your existing knowledge and skills. Previous administration experience in an NHS environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
