Full Job Description

The post holder will be based at the Clinical Research Facility, Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, but may, rarely, be required to support researchers working in other areas of UHS NHS Trust.
The Research Department oversees the management of a diverse portfolio of clinical trials. The post holder will be required to provide administrative & data support to our clinical teams, maintaining clinical trial documents and databases., This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Research Facility at University Hospitals Sussex. Working alongside the Research Nurses and Trial Co-ordinators at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. You will mostly provide administrative support to the Clinical Research team, generated by the trials. You will also be responsible for the collection, collation and input of clinical trial data. Preparing and maintaining trial files and documents, for internal use and external review. Maintaining internal databases with patient details and trial information. Organising and supporting Trial Monitors visits to site. Providing reception cover in times of receptionist absence. Filing, photocopying and basic admin duties. Collating & inputting clinical trials data into trials databases, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail as set out in Job Description and delegated by Research Admin & Data Lead. The post would suit somebody wishing to develop a career in clinical trial administration or study co-ordination. Knowledge and experience of administration in the field of health or research in a University or NHS setting would be an asset.
