Full Job Description
We are recruiting for a Clinical Trust Fellow (ST3+) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology who share our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and have the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff., A very dynamic department with 20+ motivated consultants supported by junior doctors. The obstetric unit is busy, dealing with high risk pregnancies with around 5000 deliveries / year. Consultant Gynaecology clinics are held at Medway Maritime, Sittingbourne and Sheppey Hospitals.
There are surgical wards used for elective cases and emergency admissions. An Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic is held on weekdays in conjunction with a 24 hour Gynaecology Assessment Unit. The EPAC is led by senior nurse who performs transvaginal scanning.
Regular inpatient and day case operating lists run throughout the week.
Emergency cases are booked on CEPOD list. Majority of benign gynaecology surgeries are laparoscopic. There are opportunities to advance laparoscopic skills, hysteroscopy skills and urogynaecology surgeries.
There are specialist clinics for Infertility, Colposcopy, Outpatient Hysteroscopy and Urodynamics.
