Full Job Description

The primary responsibility of the role is the management of medical rotas that meet the requirements of the Medicine Directorate, achieved through the effective coordination of clinical staff absence, distribution of appropriate skill mix, utilisation of all contractual hours and compliance to Standard Operating Procedures, working time regulations and Health Board Policy.

The Clinical Workforce Coordinator is required to work on a rotational basis to meet the operating hours of the department across a seven-day working week., Provides a point of contact for all rota related queries and absence reporting.Undertake return to work sickness meetings up to initial discussion andcomplete all necessary paperwork in line with Policy.Completes accurate reports in line with abstraction rates as and when requiredEstablishes and maintains strong working relationships with a range of internalstakeholders.Communicates confidential, sensitive or contentious information to a range ofinternal stakeholders.Reports operational staffing issues affecting service delivery to the ClinicalWorkforce Supervisor.Supports the Clinical Workforce Supervisor and Manager by promotingproposed workplace changes in a positive manner, reporting any difficultiesencountered.Liaises with Clinical Workforce Supervisor & Manager and Clinical leadsregarding scheduling of priority shifts.Supports Clinical staff of all grades in the use of rostering systems.Negotiates with all staff to gain agreement on changes relevant changes to roles and
responsibilities within the post holder's job description.Receives and relays sensitive staffing information in a confidential manner.Undertakes presentations on Clinical Workforce Hub related topics.Actively engages in departmental meeting schedules.
