Full Job Description

The Waste and Resource Management Team are looking for a dynamic individual, who is able to collaborate effectively and apply project management skills to a fast-paced position. The role offers a hybrid of reactive workload, responding to urgent issues relating to sites or online systems, as well as project management responsibilities looking at creating efficiencies throughout the service.

Working as part of the Universal Services Waste and Resource Management Team, the post-holder will have a variety of responsibilities for supporting the management of 14 former landfill sites and 24 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in a complex, varied and evolving environment.

The post-holder will assist the Senior Closed Landfill and Household Waste Recycling Centres Officer with the HWRC Contract to ensure compliance with contract conditions, statutory obligations and corporate standards of customer care. This will include being instrumental in the administration of the HWRC booking system, the maintenance of 24 sites across Hampshire and supporting on improvement projects with a customer and operational focus.

The role will also be required to ensure former landfill sites are monitored alongside the Senior Landfill and HWRC Officer to protect human health and safety and safeguard the environment., We are a Disability Confident Employer - committed to ensuring that our recruitment and selection process is inclusive and accessible.

Educated to A-level or equivalent in a relevant subject, you will have strong communication skills, written and oral, and be comfortable working as part of a team as well as working unsupervised where required.
