Here at Version 1, we are currently recruiting for a Pre-Sales Cloud Architect to join our thriving Pre-Sales Practice. If you want to be involved in delivering value, innovation, and excellence with our customers, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Working with the customer and internal sales teams to understand requirements, objectives and business justification, in order to respond with a viable solution to the requirements

  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and software trends

  • Fully understand the functionality and limitations of multi cloud architectures

  • Be capable of architecting solutions and leading the proposal and bidding process including solution strategy, win theme alignment, proposal writing and costing

  • Be comfortable in leading workshops and presentations

  • Leading competitive dialogue with customers

  • Creation of Strategies; Policies, Principals, guard rails and templates, Location: This career is hybrid with an expectation to visit a customer site or a Version 1 office as required. The team are currently doing this once per month. We have offices based in: Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Newcastle Upon Tyne.

    Have strong background in pre-sales, specifically in complex cloud deals

  • Must have experience of large-scale implementation of single and multi-cloud projects (predominantly Azure and AWS)

  • Strong technical experience, working across different cloud technology stacks

  • Must have held lead roles within migration and/or implementation projects

  • Strong understanding of bid processes

  • Commercial experience with an understanding of bid finance and creating cost models

  • Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to present across different levels within a customers organisation

  • Have good commercial awareness and be able to articulate the commercial impacts of technical challenges and opportunities
