Full Job Description

CNC Precision currently have an exciting opportunity for a CMM Quality Inspector to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Amersham.
Due to rapid expansion and an ever growing order book, we are hoping to recruit at least one additional CMM Quality Inspector to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

You will be responsible for: CMM Quality Inspector

  • Provide support on day-to-day production activities through real time problem analysis feedback to process / manufacturing

  • Inspect test and measure materials or products from goods in receiving during preparation/production and packing

  • Recommend and support continuous improvement, ensure that solutions to be implemented to have a smooth process flow with high quality

  • Monitor operations to ensure all production and quality standards are met

  • Ensure discrepancies and non-conformance is not only thoroughly investigated, but corrected effectively and rapidly so that production is allowed to flow uninterrupted

  • Discus inspection with the senior members of the QA team inclusive of test data to ensure conformity

  • Ensure that all tooling / gauges are calibrated to the correct standard as required

  • Ensure compliance to the QMS at all times and familiarise yourself with all aspect of the QMS so as to make good informed decisions

  • Ensure that all quality criteria are documented with properly written and clearly defined procedures

  • Ensure that staff training is kept up to date

  • Lead and instigate good practise at all times (lead by example QA are the example by which all other aspect of the business is set)

  • Any other duties as defined by the senior CMM QA team

  • Support production part approval process (PPAP) activities

  • 8D reporting

    A good understand of English and maths

  • Good written and spoken English

  • Good computer literacy e.g., Word - Excel - Outlook etc

  • An interest in the sciences

  • A suitably qualified person (Experience in CMM QA role / engineering qualification i.e. degree)

  • (Willingness to attend course in support of a position)
