This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic and self-motivated individuals to work for Talking Therapies (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy/ IAPT) ServiceThe Talking Therapies service has dedicated teams of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Counsellors who offer a range of support to help people make positive changes to reduce stress and anxiety and improve their wellbeing.An opportunity exists for two suitably qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, who are passionate about providing meaningful and effective therapeutic experiences to address common mental health problems, to join the Preston Talking Therapies team. Preston is a beautiful part of the UK and has lots to offer in terms of activities, stunning scenery and community.Applicants who have not completed their training as a CBT therapist will not be considered. Applicants need to be BACP fully accredited., o To provide high quality CBT to adults with common mental health problems including those with a degree ofcomplexity.o To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.o To provide clinical supervision and mentoring to cognitive behavioral therapists and trainees.o To deliver a CBT service in accordance with NICE guidelines, meeting key performance indicators and agreedactivity levels.o To work to the agreed model and number of clinical contacts per week as set by the serviceJob DescriptionOur vision: high quality care, in the right place, at the right time, every time.o To provide advice and consultation on clients' care, to non-CBT colleagues and to non-professional carers.o To utilise research skills for audit policy and service development and research within the areas served by theteam.o To deliver and support the delivery of CBT within agreed activity levels and an agreed model.o To work with the Team Leader and Clinical
Leads to provide a co-production role in managing waiting times,prevalence and recoveryo To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.o To take lead role / clinical specialty in a designated areas of work i.e. LTC, Older adults, veterans, etc.o To provide clinical leadership at team/locality level, taking a lead role in service development, including engagingand working with other agencies
