Do you have an enthusiasm for historic houses and caring for their collections? Are you interested in sharing this work and the stories of our collections with visitors? We're looking for a Collections Assistant to join us at Shugborough to support the team in delivering high collections care standards and inspiring visitor experiences., As a Collections Assistant, you'll be working with a great housekeeping team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections. No detail will go unnoticed, and you'll keep a keen eye on everything from the environmental conditions in a room, to signs of wear and tear. You'll keep accurate records too. In this visitor facing role, we'd love you to talk to visitors about the work you're doing, and the collections we have. You'll also be part of the wider team of employees and volunteers, helping to cover where necessary. You'll be part of a flexible team doing a variety of different tasks to support a fast moving property. You will report to the Collections and House Manager and will work closely on a daily basis with our two Collections and House Officers and two other Collections Assistants.

Dynamic and varied, this role requires you to be a good team player, maintain good communication and customer service, work well with volunteers, all the while looking after a collection of historic objects., We'd love to hear from you if you're;

    Hours: 22.5 hours a week. The hours will be worked over 3 days with regular weekend working (every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday). Shift times are 8am-4pm.
