Collision Researcher

Join our team as a Collision Researcher, where your primary mission is to enhance road safety in the UK and globally through research and forensic investigation of road traffic incidents and collisions. The successful candidate will be based at TRL Headquarters in Wokingham, Berkshire, with travel to live collision scenes for data collection. Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Collect valuable vehicle and scene data at live collision scenes, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with emergency services and other personnel to ensure smooth evidence collection.
• Maintain ethical standards, handling confidential information professionally.
• Interpret and analyse investigation data for database entry, ensuring high technical quality.
• Identify patterns and factors in road collisions to inform proactive prevention measures.
  
  Interest or experience in collision investigations, vehicle dynamics, and / or human biomechanics.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to undertaking complex investigations to high-quality standards.
• Valid UK driving licence or convertible international licence.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
• A degree in Forensic Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Biomechanics, or similar would be a bonus.
