Full Job Description

Manage own workload of patients booked for colposcopy Triage referrals Attend colposcopy MDT meetings Work with all members of the colposcopy team to triage see and treat patients within the national guidelines, For a full list of responsibilities and tasks associated with this role, please refer to the job description / person specification attached to this vacancy.

Essential

  • Band 6 with experience in women's health
  • Qualified nurse RGN
  • Desirable
  • Desire to train as a diagnostic and treatment Colposcopist (for a Band 6 training post at Annex 21)
  • Accredited nurse colposcopist
  • Experience Essential
  • Extended Gynaecology / Oncology nursing experience (outpatients / inpatients)
  • Desirable
  • Senior gynaecological management experience
  • Understands need for resource management
  • To mentor Junior Nursing and Medical Staff
  • Skills Essential
  • Fully understands professional responsibilities
  • Counselling certificate
  • Ability to critically evaluate and assess patient care
  • Ability to effectively prioritise own case workload and to manage colposcopy activities and appointments (for band 7 post)
  • Desirable
  • Understands and manages KC65 reports.
  • Organisation of colposcopy in accordance with the NHSE Quality Assurance regulations for Colposcopy
