Full Job Description

The post holder will need to adopt a flexible approach as all duties are rotational and working hours can vary to suit the needs of the service. The areas of work and related duties and responsibilities are broadly detailed in the job description . However, this list in not exhaustive, and there may be variations required locally that will be commensurate with the grade., 1. Be responsible for ensuring clinic letters are produced and communicated to General Practitioners.
2. Clinical results are dealt with quickly, produce results letter to communicate test results to patients in a timely manner to meet results wait time targets. Ensure any cancer results are brought to the attention of the multidisciplinary team, clinicians and to the lead colposcopy administrator, to take appropriate action in the absence of the clinicians and lead colposcopy administrator.
3. Following investigations and multidisciplinary team meetings, organise follow-up appointments for patients, assist in the co-ordination of waiting lists or discharge patients as directed by the clinician's clinical management and colposcopy guidelines.
4. Duties must be performed in a timely manner to ensure all waiting time, diagnostic, cancer, 18-week RTT and Screening Quality Assurance Service (SQAS), Public Health England (PHE) targets are met.
5. Provide assistance to patients, dealing with them in a sensitive, diplomatic and confidential manner.

We are looking for a resilient, robust, self motivated Colposcopy Administrator to support the work of the Women's Healthcare Colposcopy Service. The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service within the colposcopy service to all Colposcopists This will involve data entry and validation, secretarial, administrative and organisational services. You will need to demonstrate attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, be well organised, flexible and self directive with a positive 'can do'/problem solving attitude. Excellent word processing and good general office skills are required. Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information within timescales, deadlines and protocols is essential.
