Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for ensure patient's results are typed and actioned in line with National Colposcopy guidelines (90% within 4 weeks and 100% in 8 weeks). To achieve this you will be liaising with Consultants, Nurses, Clinical teams and working closely with the Colposcopy Database Coordinators to ensure a full comprehensive service is achieved. You will als be answering calls from patients, validating patient's pathways and minute taking., Northampton General Hospital is one of the largest employers in the area and we are on an exciting journey. To ensure colposcopy letters are actioned in line with National Colposcopy guidelines by utilising strong organisational skills to prevent any possible breaches and escalate to the team where appropriate .
To liaise with the multidisciplinary team and the staff of the Histology, Cytology and Colposcopy unit as well as external agencies such as University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation trust.
Effective use and Knowledge of Trust computerised administration systems (Winscribe, PCS, Camis, Colposcopy database) using VDU on a continuous basis.
Working knowledge and experience of secretarial and administrative procedures and systems, both routine and non-routine and able to answer queries.
You will be responsible for highly sensitive and confidential information and ensure that such information is held securely. All work will be carried out in accordance with Trust policies and with reference to the NHS Cervical Screening programme recommendations and guidelines.
Collection and maintenance of sensitive patient data. Scanning and photocopying, filing, word processing in a timely manner ensuring deadlines are met through the ability to prioritise.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person with a high standard of organisational skills to help provide an effective and confidential administrative service.
Successful candidate must have the ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information. They will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, be proactive and methodical in their approach to daily tasks., Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods and work without direct supervision in a conscientious, professional and diligent manner.
