Are you an experienced journalist looking to make your next career move into the fast-paced world of commercial content? Or perhaps you are a commercial content editor looking for your next challenge? Do you have solid editing skills and experience refining content to ensure clarity, engagement, and impact? Are you a creative thinker with a talent for uncovering engaging content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences? If so, Retail Week is seeking a strong commercial content editor to join our team in London, helping to grow and deliver our bespoke sponsored reports and live and virtual events under the growing Connect content marketing division. What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure the highest standards of quality for Retail Week Connect's output.
  • Delivering content that aligns with and over delivers on clients' objectives.
  • Identifying new and inspiring retail trends and opportunities for new reports and events.
  • Product development and evolution in the commercial content space.
  • Research relevant topics, collaborate with the sales team to ensure the content is commercially viable and engaging for our audience, and liaise with prominent clients.
  • Work on a variety of commercial content projects, including in-depth reports, whitepapers, infographics, and events like roundtable breakfasts and boutique summits. The content will cover a range of retail-related topics, including technology, customer experience, supply chain, and in-store innovations.
  • Brief writers and designers, edit content, secure speakers, write marketing copy, and work with the marketing team to boost event delegate numbers.
  • The role encompasses full project management of Retail Week's in-depth reports and Connect events, from start to finish.
  • There will also be opportunities for public speaking, such as hosting panel sessions at our events., 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays- increasing by one additional day after 6 years, up to a maximum of 30 days.
