Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Director to join the team to support our business.
This job will involve leading the UK stairlift and homelift business, owning P&L responsibilities. You will drive revenue growth, motivate a high-performing leadership team, and oversee functions such as marketing, business development, public sector tenders, sales, and customer care to achieve business goals and deliver exceptional results.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior manager to shape the future of Stannah’s stairlift and homelift business, while leading with creativity, innovation, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
To be successful as the Commercial Director , it is essential that you have proven experience in senior management roles, including significant marketing, sales, P&L, and staff responsibilities. Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans is also essential.
This job offers hybrid working; however, candidates must live within a commutable distance to Andover, Head Office.
Commercial Director Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Performance: Lead and develop a motivated, results-driven team across all functions, fostering a high-performing culture to achieve business objectives, market growth, and profitability.
- Customer Experience and Care: Oversee the contact centre, customer care operations, and sales processes to deliver exceptional service and optimise order conversion rates, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer-centric policies.
- Strategic Marketing and Development: Oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans, business development strategies, and public sector initiatives, driving lead generation, brand growth, and tender success.
- Operational Excellence and Collaboration: Partner with operations, financial, and systems teams to improve planning, forecasting, and process efficiency while enhancing employee and customer experiences.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use performance analytics, market insights, and continuous improvement strategies to inform planning, optimise operations, and drive innovation.
Commercial Director Requirements:
- Proven experience in senior management with expertise in marketing, sales, P&L, and team leadership.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyze and act on data insights.
- Knowledge of relevant systems, business processes, and market characteristics.
- Understanding of applicable regulations (e.g., health and safety, product standards, GDPR).
- Degree or equivalent in Business or a related field.
