  • We are expanding and looking to recruit an Associate 2 - 5 PQE into our Commercial Disputes team, based in London. Ideally you will have a background in both general Commercial Disputes and Insurance Disputes with an interest in expanding your knowledge in this area further.
  • You will be part of a team of commercial disputes lawyers with extensive experience across a range of specialisms.

    • We have real expertise in key areas, including swift delivery of commercial solutions to complex and critical issues. . Our in-depth knowledge and understanding of the way our clients operate gives us a significant advantage over our opponents, who are frequently the magic circle/major city firms. Our insurance disputes team acts for national and multinational policyholders across a range of sectors and all lines of business insurance. It specialises in the resolution of insurance coverage disputes, with particular experience of high-value, multi-jurisdictional claims. It also advises on non-contentious issues regarding policy construction and application. WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE This role in particular, we are looking for a junior general commercial litigation lawyer that has some experience, and a passion to further shape their career within insurance disputes. Addleshaw Goddard is currently ranked in Band 2 for Insurance Policyholder work in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. Working alongside Richard Wise the insurance practice focuses on the representation of major national and multinational policyholders within the financial and professional services, retail and consumer, real estate, construction and pharmaceutical/health sectors.
  • You will be flexible, agile and enthusiastic in growing and developing your knowledge and experience of commercial and Insurance disputes within a supportive and collegiate environment.
  • You will be expected to be client focused and thinking about how AI and other tools may be harnessed to improve the overall service.
  • Fostering and growing client relationships and developing new ones is an integral part of this role. You can expect to collaborate not only with colleagues in the direct team but also with colleagues in other AG practice areas as well as colleagues immersed in relevant industry groups.
