Full Job Description

The Commercial Finance Analyst will support the company's FP&A activities, working closely with the SCFBP to provide and present accurate sales data in a timely manner across both Lens and Frames wholesale business. This role suits a driven, inquisitive and analytical individual with expertise in SAP, and advanced MS Excel skills., 1. Financial Data Analysis & Reporting
+ Weekly download of the Lens sales divisions and calculation of credit/rebate accruals to report accurate MTD sales; driving the landing forecast for the month
+ Reconcile weekly/monthly Lens sales from ERP systems to financial system; SAP
+ Weekly/monthly Frame sales reporting to ensure accuracy of the landing vs. forecast
+ Ownership of the commercial month-end journals and SAP reconciliations ensuring UK&I Lens & Frame P&Ls reflect the monthly sales analysis files and variances to forecast are understood
+ Understand UK&I Frames shipping units forecast data and calculate into a £ view
+ Pro-actively investigate system data anomalies and flag issues prior to sharing data
+ Analyse current month and year sales versus prior year/budget/forecast and understand movements in key metrics
+ Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly sales analysis by customer, entity and product group
+ Reconcile Customer Rebate Accruals Balance sheet with clear justification of amounts accrued
+ Issue key account customer rebate statements with concise and clear language alongside accurate, well-presented data
+ Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for Senior Management and Key stakeholders
+ Assist SCFBP with monthly submissions for corporate deadlines
+ Prepare datasets for external auditors with clear annotation
+ Utilise DOP/Planning System for margin analysis by product brand
+ Disaggregating volume/price/ mix effects to help derive more profitable outcomes

2. Business Partnering
+ Support SCFBP with clear, accurate datasets for presentation to wider business
+ First responder to lenses sales queries from senior stakeholders
+ Collaborate with Commercial team on ensuring Customer Rebate accruals are as per contracts.
+ Collaborate with Rebates Analyst on improving accuracy and reporting of rebates by region and customer group.
+ Work with Business Analysis team on ensuring weekly UK&I Frames forecast is robust and can be explained to Senior Management.
+ Support wider finance team on annual planning, quarterly forecasting and corporate requests for 'deep-dive' information.
+ Collaborate with wider-business colleagues across North Europe region and corporate on data requests.

3. Systems:
+ Utilize advanced Excel functions and tools to create complex financial models, automate reporting processes, and analyse large datasets.
+ Utilise SAP and other financial systems (Qlik View, Annapurna) to extract and manipulate data for financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting purposes.
4. Continuous Improvement:
+ Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and reporting methods.
+ Be confident to challenge status quo on all processes.

+ Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / equivalent).
+ Advanced MS Excel skills, including proficiency in complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
+ Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a business partnering role.
+ Strong knowledge of SAP and the ability to extract and manipulate data effectively.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
+ Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
+ Proactive attitude with a strong drive to contribute to the company's success.

This position sits in the Commercial Finance team within the UK&I Finance Team consolidating to the North Cluster, and reports to the UKI Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner (SCFBP).
