Full Job Description

The role reports directly into the Client Commercial Finance Manager but will have a dotted line into the Client Relationship Partners. The role is dedicated to supporting the entire client relationship team and overseeing the smooth financial management of the firm's biggest and most prestigious client, alongside other dedicated resource from different business services teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal or professional services, although other sectors will be considered. Proven, strong financial and analytical skills with an eye for detail, tenacity, self-motivation, exceptional stakeholder relationship skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support for the Client Commercial Finance Manager with the financial management and oversight of all aspects of the client global retainer agreement.

  • First point of contact for all queries about the retainer managing the dedicated client inbox and triaging queries.

  • Attend client core-team meetings, taking ownership to record and follow up on action points with the Client Commercial Finance Manager, and the Senior Service Delivery Manager.

  • Report on key budget areas, undertaking budget variance analysis, proactively identifying issues, reconciling work in progress reports with information from submissions, client reporting, and other ad hoc reporting and analysis.

  • Aggregate, handle, analyse, and provide insights on large data sets.

  • Support the relationship partners, Client Commercial Finance Manager, and Senior Service Delivery Manager with the annual global retainer negotiation with the client.

  • Prepare comms for key budget holders, key stakeholders, and the client on budget areas.

  • Track areas of work, performing regular analysis on profitability, variances, and overall hygiene factors.

  • Provide oversight and ownership of all job submissions through the dedicated portal. Be the point person for portal development engaging with the applications team to fix bugs or make improvements, and function as the face of user support.
