What you'll do We're recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Consumer Finance team at Vodafone UK. Within this role, you will support newly launched products and propositions within the Consumer Fixed Business, including proactive P&L management, providing insights, and conducting analysis. You will be heavily involved in weekly commercial trading and unit economic management to ensure the business understands performance with clear actions and areas of focus. You will act as Consumer Fixed Capex controller, leading all financial Business Cases and help shaping the future of our business. Wider responsibilities will also include:
- Business partnership: The success of this role is dependent on strong collaboration across multiple teams. A strong individual will ensure the multiple functions are aligned on their objectives and ensuring they are all working as one team. This role consistently requires information and output from Finops, FP&A, Data & Insights, Fixed Commercial, Strategy & Supply Chain.
- Finance Trading Lead: Commercial Finance lead for weekly commercial trading, supporting and challenging business in decision making, understanding the commercial trading performance, articulating the financial and P&L implications from key trends and decisions. Identifying all risks and opportunities and ensuring that these are clear and called out early.
- Business Casing: This role will be is responsible for the modelling of business cases to support key decision making, working cross-functionally to agree, challenge and drive key inputs across variety of different cases varying from small in week trading interventions to larger scale, highly complex new strategic partners, new products/propositions.
- Financial Analysis & Insight: With the launch of new products and propositions, it is imperative the Commercial Finance Manager fully understands the financial performance and current trends. On a monthly basis, key insight will be provided to the business, which explains current performance, identifies any potential risk & opportunity in a rolling outlook, highlights performance against key strategic initiatives.
- Financial Planning: The Commercial Finance Manager will drive financial planning particularly for rolling forecasts, 9+15 & LRP. This role needs to co-ordinate and manage data requirements and ensure the plans are aligned with the overall Fixed strategy, reflects ambition and strategic thinking. Who you are
- Aptitude for building relationships and influencing all levels of seniority across functions.
- Demonstrable Commercial Finance experience.
- Fully qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Professional presentation & communication skills, with and ability to interpret and explain complex information.
