We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Lead to take responsibility for driving the commercial strategy within the Channel Partners team here at Virgin Media O2. About the team…
- A fast-paced business delivering a range of indirect mobile solutions to our existing and new customers.
- Channel Partners work with a portfolio of partners who carry our brand to market. Managing a significant proportion of our business customers, we are responsible for driving profitable net customer growth and new product penetration. You will be overseeing a portfolio of partners who acquire business mobile customers for VMO2, taking responsibility for crafting and implementing the commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, strengthen partner relationships, and ensure mutual success. This role is critical in aligning partner activities with the company's business objectives, optimising partner performance, and growing the partner network. Working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration and support for partner initiatives, will ensure you maintain a strong focus on market trends and competitive dynamics. Who we are
- A strong understanding of commercial principles encompassing key business concepts such as profit margins, pricing strategies, market dynamics, and the cost-benefit analysis of business decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in analysing raw data, uncovering key insights, identifying patterns, and simplifying complex information into a clear, compelling narrative for stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in a dynamic trading environment, with responsibility for near and long-term budgeting and forecasting, identifying growth opportunities, and mitigating risks.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
- Proven ability to 1) actively listen to customers and gather feedback to gain insights into their preferences, problems, and expectations, and 2) clearly delineate responsibilities and assign tasks to the appropriate individuals (including third party support), ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining high service quality without negatively impacting the Partner experience.
