Full Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to deliver sustainable profit growth for the business through exceptional category management whilst working with multiple stakeholders. Additional chances to shine will come with project managing a variety of other commercial projects and initiatives.,

  • Working with both supply chain and marketing teams to ensure that we deliver the correct product, to the right place at the right time - and we tell people about it!
  • Negotiating the best possible commercial terms with suppliers
  • Understanding various pricing models and utilising them effectively
  • Identifying commercial opportunities that are suitable for Williams & Co.
  • Creating ambitious but achievable strategies for product categories and suppliers
  • Collaborating with suppliers to deliver benefits and efficiencies for the rest of the business
  • Building collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with key strategic partners

    The candidate will be an experienced negotiator with a background in category / commercial management in the merchant industry with a demonstrated track record of success., Proven experience as a high achieving category / commercial manager
  • High level of negotiation techniques
  • Experience in creating and implementing successful product category strategies
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • IT fluency
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals
