Full Job Description

As Commercial Manager you will take ownership of Sales Operational reporting, processes pricing and quoting, reporting regularly to senior management, on improvements to speed and quality. You will be keen to learn and understand new tasks, seek improvements in both process and business outcomes with a highly analytical mind set to support key business decisions., Reporting (Commercial)

  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure that Sales pipeline reporting is produced timely and accurately on both a weekly and quarterly basis.
  • Working with the CSO and CCO to agree changes and improvements to the pipeline, to assist the Sales management to make better decisions and the Finance team to improve the accuracy of the financial forecasting.
  • Helping other colleagues with their reporting to ensure consistency, such as our Customer Success Director with Win / Loss information.
  • Provide insights from data within the CRM system, such as price points, and identify product quoting trends.
  • Process Improvement (Sales Operations)
  • Review existing Sales processes, working with key internal stakeholders to document and provide continual improvement to ensure ease of use, speed to respond, and accuracy.
  • Manage improvement projects and provide updates and feedback on changes, including demonstrable improvement statistics.
  • Measure the Sales pipeline speed and momentum.
  • Pricing
  • Manage the pricing of solutions, maintaining the price books and ensuring that pricing is communicated and understood both internally and externally on a global basis.
  • Ensuring there is a strong understanding on how competitors complete their pricing and produce internal commercial SWOT analyses for competitive commercial models.
  • Maintain a bespoke pricing process to ensure and enable speed and accuracy on a global basis.
  • Quoting
  • Responsibility for the quoting tool used by internal Sales teams and external partners.
  • Ensuring the quote tools are maintained to include the latest product/solution mix and are both simple to use and provide accurate quotes
  • Ensuring the outputs can be reported and measured for Sales improvement purposes.
  • Other responsibilities
  • Sales Commission (SIPP) calculations.
  • Sales Performance Metrics
  • Other commercial items as arising.

    Bachelors degree, or substantial alternative experience.
  • ACA qualified or equivalent with 1 - 2yrs PQE.
  • Experience reviewing processes and managing improvement programs.
  • Post-practice experience of management accounting role.
  • Experience of supporting and developing junior colleagues.
  • Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Driven to understand improve existing processes.
  • Work quickly under pressure and maintain vital consistency.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
