Full Job Description

We're lookig for a Commercial Manager to join us in Goole, reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work with the management team to enable the business to deliver against the agreed schedule, on time and on budget. You'll make an impact by

  • Ensuring accurate, up-to-date business data through strict adherence to procedures and guidelines, driving informed business decisions and steering performance management.
  • Leading month and year-end close activities, including financial bookings, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to meet objectives and targets.
  • Overseeing cost centre management, including trend analysis, productivity reviews, investment evaluations, and inventory control, ensuring alignment with budget and forecast.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with digitalisation experts to automate processes and enhance efficiency across the global manufacturing network.
  • Supporting cross-functional projects and delivering ad hoc analysis for finance, commercial, and operational teams, addressing key business needs and focus topics.
  • Managing new system implementations, localisation projects, and leading the commercial team, while driving new investment proposals and supporting knowledge sharing across global teams.
  • What do you need to qualify for the role?
  • Holding a professional qualification (e.g., CIMA) to support your financial expertise.

    Possessing advanced knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint), with experience in Qliksense, Tableau, Knime, or Power BI as a plus, alongside a strong drive for digital transformation and automation.
  • Demonstrating a proactive mindset, with a willingness to listen, learn, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Being self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, while meeting deadlines.
  • Actively networking and sharing ideas with team members across departments, fostering collaboration and openness.
