Do you want to provide effective commercial management and advice so that business plans may be achieved, and commercial risks are minimised? As Commercial Manager individuals you will have a direct influence on profitability either as managers or as experts in a particular vertical in our business. The vertical can relate to a variety of areas such as knowledge of a particular industry, technology, product, profession or skills area such as sales, account management or purchasing. The role will have fantastic exposure to SLT within a growing area of our business. The ability to drive process, whilst also educating around governance and controls, will be really apparent. You will be based from one of our centres of excellance, with an expectation of being visible for team meetings and wider business projects in a hybrid way of working. What you'll be doing:
- Provide effective commercial, contract and supplier management for an account or a small group of accounts in accordance with Sopra Steria business rules, processes and controls to ensure achievement of business targets and contractual commitments.
- Develop relationships with client teams to create the trust in which commercial management can operate effectively and so benefit Sopra Steria by attending client governance meetings, ensuring issues and disputes are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Operate commercial frameworks and assure the bid markings for sales responses in order that business targets can be met.
- Lead the development and negotiation of small contracts and support the negotiation of larger contracts, ensuring, in conjunction with the legal support team and Commercial Development team, that robust and effective contracts are drafted and agreed.
- Manage procurement and negotiation of supply contracts directly linked to client contracts, working in conjunction with central purchasing as appropriate and providing supplier contract management to meet Sopra Steria and contractual requirements.
- Ensure that delivery performance and contract compliance are in accordance with commercial plans, identifying and highlighting risks and improvements and operating contract changes in order to ensure the delivery of business targets. What you'll bring:
- Knowledge of Sopra Steria commercial processes and controls and sales processes and experience of work utilising them.
- Experience and skills in managing client contracts within an account or assignment.
- Experience of managing third party supply contracts through all life-cycle stages.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in negotiation techniques with both clients and suppliers.
- Knowledge and experience of risk management techniques.
- Experience/understanding of client delivery in large or complex environments.
- Experience of working within the sales process to support identification of opportunities qualification, estimating, and design and delivery of proposals
- Good influencing and relationship management skills demonstrated with client management, senior supplier management, account and sector management and other company practices.
