Full Job Description

The Commercial Manager is responsible for the growth and relationship management of a portfolio of intermediary partners. Working with key stakeholders within Bupa UK the role ensures the continual development and growth of that portfolio for PMI, but also other lines of business (Cashplan, Dental, Clinics products/services). The role will ensure distribution activities are of sufficient quality, satisfy customer needs, meet regulatory standards, fall within risk appetite and always deliver fair customer outcomes. How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Strategically manage a portfolio of intermediary accounts building commercially successful relationships with client contacts at all levels that deliver business targets.
  • Clearly and concisely articulate Bupa's value proposition in the market.
  • Develop a clear and commercially focussed sales value pipeline focussing on growth in line with our strategy to deliver AOP and ensure profitable partnership relationships for UK Insurance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of short and long term (3- 5 year) plans for the intermediary portfolio with prioritised outcomes that meet customer needs and deliver engagement and loyalty.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement that constantly seeks to improve customer outcomes, eliminate waste and increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Inspire, manage and develop team members to maximise their contribution and ensure that a robust pipeline of talent is available to meet future succession needs.

    Experience and proven ability to lead and manage Intermediary Sales in Financial Services organisation/s in a health care sector.
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining strong, long lasting customer relationships and maximising business opportunities.
  • Strong determined communicator and negotiator with experience of senior level selling, persuasion and negotiation.
  • In depth knowledge of successfully increasing revenue, profits, and growth within Intermediary market regulated environment such as the healthcare market.
  • Track record of 'treating customers fairly' and delivering compliant sales within a regulatory environment is key.
  • Acts ethically and honestly in all dealing with customers and colleagues building compliance, authenticity and trust.
