Full Job Description
As a Commercial & Procurement Officer you will be responsible for providing procurement advice, support and guidance to Commissioners and project leads from all directorates across the organisation and the Council's Arms-Length Managing Organisation, Sutton Housing Partnership. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the organisation has the required controls in place to ensure that procurement activity is carried out in an open and transparent way in line with relevant legislation and best practise., The Customers, Transformation and Strategy Division is responsible for both setting the Strategic Direction of Council and holding the organisation to account in the delivery of this.
The Commercial and Procurement function leads and advises on all major tenders and procurements. We have responsibility for improving Supplier and Contract Management of the key, strategic commercial relationships of the Council, including LATCs and Shared Services, and ensure Commissioning Leads and Managers are supported to meet their responsibilities for the direct contract management and overview of both internal and external provision.
