Full Job Description

Your Role: As a Commercial Sales Apprentice at News Broadcasting, you will be an integral part of our dynamic sales team. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the sales process within the media industry, from prospecting and client engagement to closing deals and maintaining long-term relationships. Working across industry leading brands, talkSPORT, Virgin Radio, Times Radio and TalkRadio.

Day to day you will:

  • Assist the commercial sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

  • Support the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.

  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.

  • Maintain and update client databases and sales records.

  • Work on campaign delivery with clients and media agencies

  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and networking events.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

    A keen interest in sales, media, and broadcasting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
