Full Job Description

We are delighted to now be recruiting for Commercial & Trading Graduate Scheme with a start date in September 2025. Trading and Supply is at the core of commercial delivery for the Prax Group. It manages the physical optimisation of all bulk commodity movements from the supply of crude and feedstocks to our refinery, the sale of excess products and components out of our refinery and the supply of products into terminals not fed by the refinery. It also is responsible for managing price risk along the whole value chain from crude purchases to retail sales and it is the proactive and nimble management of this risk which differentiates us from our larger competitors. This scheme will provide graduates with the opportunity to rotate through our Trading and Risk Department, Marine Operations, and Sales Department to ensure participants will gain a solid understanding of how markets work and the fundamentals of commodity trading. We anticipate that you will complete 3-4 rotations of 9-12 months over the 3-year programme. Graduates will also have the opportunity to visit a number of our locations throughout the UK including London, Surrey, Jarrow and the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery in Immingham. We are looking for driven and ambitious Graduates to join our team.

  • Be on track or have achieved, a 2:1 degree (or higher) in any discipline, candidates do not need to have commercial background to apply for this role.

  • Have an inquisitive and forward-thinking mindset, who is always looking to learn and develop
  • Be numerate and analytical
  • Possess the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across all levels
  • Must be working towards or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree, graduating in 2025 or the previous 2 years.
