Full Job Description

We are seeking a Commercial Manager - Memorials to help drive the success of our Memorials division. You will be instrumental in developing and executing commercial strategies to grow revenue, profitability, and market share. By managing pricing, costs, and profitability, you will help ensure our teams deliver quality services to clients while supporting sustainable growth and future improvements.,

  • Collaborate with the Memorials Commercial Manager to manage pricing, cost, and margin strategies for the business.
  • Identify and implement new commercial initiatives to drive growth.
  • Develop and launch a consumer-focused commercial strategy for new Memorial offerings.
  • Build compelling business cases to support Memorials' capital expenditure (Capex) needs.
  • Identify new opportunities for connected sales (Funerals-Crematoria-Telesales) to boost Memorials revenue.
  • PRICING & PROFITABILITY
  • Support the Memorials Product Manager with new product launches.
  • Define clear pricing, cost, and margin guidelines for the division.
  • Conduct regular profitability analyses to identify and action margin-improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate data and systems integration for financial reporting
  • TRADING
  • Lead Memorials reporting and commercial performance analysis.
  • Design and implement key trading initiatives (e.g., free fixing & shipping promotions) to drive sales.
  • Ensure accurate sales attribution for Memorials products.
  • Support annual price negotiations with suppliers and partners.
  • Partner with regional and branch leaders to ensure a focus on Memorials' performance.
  • Set and monitor targets by region, branch, and site, identifying areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Share best practices across regions while addressing underperformance with tailored solutions., Please note that this role is subject to meeting regulatory requirements.   • Proven experience in commercial management, business development, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with a track record of driving profitability and growth.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and regions.
  • Experience in pricing, margin analysis, and cost management.
  • Ability to develop compelling business cases and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
  • Flexible in their approach, happy to conduct site visits as needed and work in a hybrid model of 3 office days, 2 from home.

  • £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.
