Full Job Description

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients according to recipes or as directed by the Head Chef.

Support the kitchen team in cooking and plating dishes, ensuring that they meet Bannatyne's high standards for presentation and taste.

Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all food hygiene and safety regulations. This includes washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept tidy.

Assist in monitoring and managing stock levels, including receiving deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and storing items properly.

Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen, particularly during peak times.

Take advantage of training and development opportunities to enhance your culinary skills and knowledge.

Contribute to a positive dining experience for Bannatyne's members and guests by consistently delivering high-quality food and service.

Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ability to establish rapport, build trust and demonstrate credibility.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

It would be beneficial if you had basic culinary skills or a certificate in the relevant field.
