Commis Chef - Bank

Avery Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Commis Chef to join their friendly, award-winning team at the Fleet Hall Care Home. As a Commis Chef, you will assist the Chef de Partie in preparing food and performing basic cooking tasks, working in different areas of the kitchen on a rotation programme. The role involves supporting all chefs to manage and deliver catering services, ensuring resident choice, dignity, confidentiality, and safety are maintained.

The Commis Chef's responsibilities include participating in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree on catering functions across the home and address residents' special needs or dietary requirements, preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, and preparing special diet meals as needed. The ideal candidate must hold a catering qualification, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and have a minimum of 1-year catering experience, demonstrating compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
