Commis Chef - Pastry - Knightsbridge, London

An opportunity has arisen for a Commis Chef to join our Pastry team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist in preparing pastries, desserts, and baked goods.


• Measure and mix ingredients for pastry recipes.


• Aid pastry chefs with daily tasks.


• Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen.


• Continuously learn new techniques and recipes.


• Handle simple baking tasks like doughs and batters.


• Ensure consistency by following recipes.


• Help monitor and replenish ingredients.


• Assist with plating and decorating desserts.


• Complete tasks promptly, especially during busy times.
  
  The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


• Formal training in pastry arts or a related culinary field.


• Prior experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a high-end or luxury environment.


• Proficiency in fundamental pastry techniques and baking methods.


• Strong focus on precision and presentation in pastry preparation.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.


• Good organizational skills and the ability to handle tasks efficiently under pressure.
