We have an exciting opportunity at our School site in Reading, RG9 for a Commis Chef to join the team at Accent working 26.25 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only. The food offer is fresh food cooked from scratch so excellent culinary skills are required with a passion for giving children the best possible lunch experience. You will be working with a team of staff and you will report to the Chef Manager.

  • Have excellent craft skills
  • Basic knowledge of working in kitchens
  • Have a proven track record of continually improving standards
  • Have good communication skills at all levels
  • Be passionate about food with a great eye for detail
  • Have a desire to learn and grow with us as a company
  • Be an innovative person with a positive out going disposition and a can-do approach
    • This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language.
