Commis Chef - (ref 172)

We have an exciting opportunity at our school site in Winchester, for a Commis Chef to join the team at Accent from September 2024. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday term-time only - so all the school holidays off! The food offer is fresh food cooked from scratch so excellent culinary skills are required with a passion for giving children the best possible lunch experience. You will be cooking for teachers and support staff. You will be working with a team of staff and you will report to the Chef Manager.

• An absolute foodie with a chef background, this is a very-hands on role and you will be required to cook.
• Exceptional standards in all aspects of food service; attention to detail is vital
• Proven track record in a high volume, quality catering establishment
• Good communication and IT skills
• Innovative person with a positive out going disposition and a can-do approach
• Proven track record of continually improving standards and achieving targets is essential
This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
