Commissioning Manager - Propulsion

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Onsite). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role., + Lead and manage Test & Commissioning (T&C) staff or business partnerships/sub contracts
+ Ensure developed solutions are clearly defined, integrated, configured, controlled and delivered, including resolution of conflicts and integration issues that occur through development and delivery phases
+ Identify resource requirements through the lifecycle of the project and manage T&C resource within agreed limits
+ Perform appropriate planning, management and review activities to ensure products are integrated, safe, fully compliant, tested and commissioning within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time & schedule
+ Ensure capability and skills development, performance optimisation & maximisation and efficient use of T&C resources
+ Ensure all commissioning activities are undertaken with the Operational Framework and that compliance with all T&C policies is maintained
+ Sign off for commissioning requirements for a project/service
+ Assess whether there needs to a Formal Design Review or Technical Bid Review to support the project and provide the T&C contribution as required, As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a Test Section and all associated activities which is delivering as part of a wider Test & Commissioning programme or project consisting of several major engineering systems, commissioning disciplines, platform assemblies, equipment, or software products. + MBA/MSc/Degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience
+ ILM Level 2/3 or CMI Level 3/5
+ Experienced within Commissioning
+ Systems Engineering knowledge
+ Demonstrable management experience, leading and coaching others in a team
Desirable:
+ Commissioning experience within submarines preferable
+ Chartership status or capability of working towards
