Full Job Description

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Onsite). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role., + Lead and manage Test & Commissioning (T&C) staff or business partnerships/sub contracts
+ Ensure developed solutions are clearly defined, integrated, configured, controlled and delivered, including resolution of conflicts and integration issues that occur through development and delivery phases
+ Identify resource requirements through the lifecycle of the project and manage T&C resource within agreed limits
+ Perform appropriate planning, management and review activities to ensure products are integrated, safe, fully compliant, tested and commissioning within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time & schedule
+ Ensure capability and skills development, performance optimisation & maximisation and efficient use of T&C resources
+ Ensure all commissioning activities are undertaken with the Operational Framework and that compliance with all T&C policies is maintained
+ Sign off for commissioning requirements for a project/service
+ Assess whether there needs to a Formal Design Review or Technical Bid Review to support the project and provide the T&C contribution as required, As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a Test Section and all associated activities which is delivering as part of a wider Test & Commissioning programme or project consisting of several major engineering systems, commissioning disciplines, platform assemblies, equipment, or software products. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

+ MBA/MSc/Degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience
+ ILM Level 2/3 or CMI Level 3/5
+ Experienced within Commissioning
+ Systems Engineering knowledge
+ Demonstrable management experience, leading and coaching others in a team
Desirable:
+ Commissioning experience within submarines preferable
+ Chartership status or capability of working towards
