Full Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has an eye for detail, a positive approachand excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join the fast-pacedCommissioning Team for Children and Adults in Shropshire.The role covers developing and commissioning Mental Health services across Healthand Social care, so there are a variety of opportunities be involved in and work acrossseveral different areasThe ideal candidate will be someone with a keen interest in improving outcomes forChildren and Adults who need support to remain as independent as possible, who iscommitted to making a difference and enjoys working in a fast-paced and challengingenvironment.The post offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across thedepartment, the Council, with partners from across the health system, providers andvoluntary and private sectors to innovate, develop and implement positive change forthe people of Shropshire.

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention todetail and the ability to analyse information, data and possess strong report writingand project management skills. You will need to have an enquiring mind and beconfident asking challenging questions to get a detailed understanding of services andprovider performance.We are looking for someone who has proven experience working within projectmanagement and development within the Health and Social Care sector or candemonstrate strong knowledge of those sectors.Additionally, due to the work themes the successful candidate will have contractknowledge and commissioning experience of Children and Adults Mental Healthservices.
